Landed Cost Calculator

Free landed cost calculator: goods value plus freight, insurance and import duty, with cost per unit.

How the landed cost calculator works

Enter the goods value, freight, insurance, duty percentage and number of units to see the total landed cost and cost per unit.

Formula

Duty = (goods + freight + insurance) × duty%. Landed cost = goods + freight + insurance + duty. Per unit = landed cost ÷ units.

Worked example

Example: goods 10,000 + freight 800 + insurance 100 with 5% duty gives duty 545 and landed cost 11,445; for 1,000 units that is 11.45 each.

FAQ

Is duty always calculated on goods plus freight?

Many countries base duty on the CIF value (cost, insurance and freight), but rules vary. Check your customs authority.
