Carton Packing Calculator

Free carton calculator: cartons needed, total weight and total CBM from units and units per carton.

How the carton packing calculator works

Enter total units, units per carton, weight per carton and carton volume to estimate cartons, shipment weight and cubic metres.

Formula

Cartons = round up (units ÷ units per carton). Total weight = cartons × weight per carton. Total CBM = cartons × volume per carton.

Worked example

Example: 1,200 units at 24 per carton is 50 cartons; at 12 kg and 0.06 CBM each that is 600 kg and 3 CBM.

FAQ

Why does CBM matter on a factory invoice?

Freight is often priced by weight or volume, so cartons, weight and CBM help you quote shipping and avoid disputes at the port.
